ANNOUNCEMENT of RESULTS – Preselection

>> Presentation of the sequence of the final of Concours petites formes 2022 <<

The final of the Concours petites formes 2022 acousmatic composition competition will be held on Saturday 7th of May 2022 at 16:00 as a public concert (free admission) in the “La Matrice” (11 rue des Martyrs, Paris 9^th arrondissement).

The audience prize will be awarded further to an audience vote.

May we remind you that the aim of this competition is to encourage these new composers from Taiwan, Japan and France by including them as often as possible in programmes so that they become known in the 3 countries; the panel of judges will therefore finally choose 6 international prizewinners in both categories.

The pieces in Category A, preselected by a panel of judges in each country will be played on an orchestra of speakers (12 channels), either by the composers who will be able to attend, or by an experienced member of the Tout Pour La Musique Contemporaine team.

A list of the pieces in Category A, in the chronological order of playing, will be circulated to everyone on entering, and will be used as the voting form for the petites formes 2022 Categoryie A “Audience Prize”.

Among the 12 Category B pieces (duration less than 3 minutes), preselected by an international panel of judges appointed to this category (9 members), this panel will have selected the 6 Category B prizewinners before the concert.

For practical reasons with regard to the duration of the concert, the vote for the Category B Audience Prize will be cast after the 12 preselected pieces have been played, while the Category A panel of judges makes its deliberations.

A list of the pieces in Category B, in the chronological order of playing, will be circulated to everyone on entering, and will be used as the voting form for the petites formes 2022 Categoryie B “Audience Prize”.

The panel will announce the results of the Concours petites formes 2022 that same day after its deliberations and the vote for the Audience Prizes.
